Information security training for every associate
Every associate needed one required course on information security principles and best practices, and it had to meet both HIPAA and HITRUST requirements.

Case study 02 · Legal requests
Subpoenas and court orders for health information professionals
Release of information staff needed to understand subpoenas and court orders: the basics, plus how to handle and respond to these requests. The course is now required for every associate who works release of information.

A complete redesign from scratch, built around real-world scenarios and more knowledge checks. It adds material on patient rights, information security and the Office for Civil Rights.

Teaches managers to choose calmer responses in tense moments, based on research by Alissa Hebbeln and Russell Kolts.
112 managers completed it. Escalations from managers to HR business partners fell more than 20% in the year after rollout, alongside several other leadership initiatives.

Communication Etiquette
Customer service skills for patient-facing associates. Built in two hours from Rise templates, with AI presenter video made in Synthesia.
About 900 associates have completed it since 2023, making it one of the most assigned customer service courses.
Health information · Articulate Rise
Health Plan Requests
An in-depth overview of health plan requests (also called audits): the main types providers receive from health plans and third-party companies.
Over 250 associates have completed it as of October 2026, with fewer errors and faster processing on these requests. A version was also developed for Libman Education.

Front Desk Training
Covers the skills needed to staff a health information management (HIM) front desk.
About 1,350 associates have completed it since 2024. Escalations at in-person client sites dropped an estimated 60%.
